Hurricane Harvey Stampedes the Butler Longhorn Museum

When Hurricane Harvey hit the Greater Houston Area in 2017, it left its mark on the city, the buildings, and the millions of residents in its path. The Butler Longhorn Museum is one of the many businesses still recovering from the storm. While the main building is open, the education center still has a lot of renovations to undergo before it’s ready to once again host community events and classes. The devastation at both the museum and the education center was extensive. Just our elevator took on 1,210 gallons of water. Damage, however, extended far beyond the elevator. All in all, the museum closed for 16 months for repairs.

I wish to assist in the rebuilding of the Butler Longhorn Museum
